The bill (Reg. No.7306) implements item 2 of the Final Provisions of the Law "On Amendments to the Criminal-Procedural Code of Ukraine regarding Surrender (Extradition)" to meet the commitments of Ukraine under the international agreements on extradition. It harmonizes the provisions of Ukrainian laws to guarantee implementation of a new Chapter 9 of the Criminal-Procedural Code of Ukraine, esp. to regulate the detention of persons, whose surrender (extradition) or transit transportation is pending, and to implement the international agreements ratified by The Verkhovna Rada.
The bill amends the Criminal-Procedural Code of Ukraine, the Criminal Code, the Laws "On Detention", "On Ratification of the European Convention on Extradition of 13 December 1957", the Additional Protocol of 1975, the Second Additional Protocol of 1978 to the Convention, and "On Refugees."
