In the meeting took Georgian dignitaries, representatives of the Ministries and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Ukraine Grigol Katamadze.
In the course of the meeting the Ukrainian Party was represented by the Chairman of the State Customs Service of Ukraine I. Kaletnik, Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Service of Ukraine I. Tymofeev and other officials.
At the beginning of the meeting, V. Khomutynnik, Chairman of the Committee on Taxation and Customs Policy, expressed gratitude to G. Tskhakaia and members of the Georgian delegation "for the seriousness of intentions regarding the development of the connections between the supervision bodies of the states and opportunity to exchange the positive experience concerning reformation of the tax system and customs supervision. "
In the course of the meeting the Parties discussed the ways of cooperation between the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Taxation and Customs Policy, State Customs Service of Ukraine and Ministry of Finance of Georgia to improve the legislation in the part of customs procedures, tax legislation, to exchange information on the activity of the supervision bodies and strengthen the bilateral cooperation.
G. Tskhakaia and members of the Georgian delegation informed representatives of the Ukrainian Party on tasks and stages of reformation in the tax and customs system of Georgia, its present state and perspectives.
Chairman of the Committee V. Khomutynnik and Chairman of the State Customs Service of Ukraine I. Kaletnik dwelled upon the fundamental principles of the Tax Code adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and signed by the President of Ukraine and also on the Draft Customs Code of Ukraine that is being prepared by the Ukrainian Government.
In the result of the meeting the Parties discussed the further cooperation.
