At the today´s briefing in the Parliament, Mykola Tomenko explained that the ongoing discussion of the Tax Code proved the necessity to liquidate the tax police, and restrict the authorities of the tax administration. "I will vote for the liquidation of the tax police", M. Tomenko stressed. He reminded that he had suggested it to Viktor Yushchenko. "It means a consistent opposition. If V. Yushchenko failed to implement this initiative, and we have reached a similar conclusion again, it would be logical to liquidate the tax police", he stated.
M. Tomenko declared that Mykola Azarov might be of the same opinion, "as he stated in the interview that the tax administration has, unfortunately, sweeping powers."
