The Committee on fighting Organized Crime and Corruption recommends the Parliament to reject the Bill on Amendments to several Legislative Acts of Ukraine (re Introduction of Responsibility for the Non-Disclosure of Information on the Income of High-Ranking Officials)

No. 7138) obliges the high-ranking officials to promulgate the income declaration annually (by 1 May), and establishes administrative responsibility for the violation of this provision in the form of a fine at the rate of 900-100 non-taxable income, as well as dismissal.  

 

The bill amends the Laws "On fighting Corruption", "On the Principles of Corruption Prevention and Counteraction", and the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Infringements.  

 

The Committee members focused on the conclusions of the Central Scientific Expert Office.

 

As the Law "On fighting Corruption" is terminated on enactment of the Law "On the Principles of Corruption Prevention and Counteraction" since 1 January 2011, the amendments to this law are considered as inexpedient.
