The Law presents a new version of the Law of 1 April 2001 No2371-III "On Customs Tariff of Ukraine" and its addendum.
The purpose of the bill is to:
harmonize the trade nomenclature of the Customs Tariff of Ukraine with the requirements of the Harmonized Commodity Description;
harmonize the trade nomenclature of the Customs Tariff of Ukraine with the requirements of the Coding System 2007 version and the obligations of Ukraine in the WTO framework.
The applicable Customs Tariff of Ukraine is developed on the basis of the Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System 2002 version, since in the majority of the world countries, the EU and the CIS member states, tariff and nontariff regulation is performed according to the Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System 2007 version.
