Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine met on Monday Chairman of National Assembly of Vietnam Nguyễn Phú Trọng.
V. Lytvyn expressed gratitude to the chairman of the National assembly for "feeling of friendship and warm of hearts the Ukrainian parliamentary delegation felt in Vietnam.´
According to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Parliamentary delegation (People´s Deputies of Ukraine: Serhii Husarov, Oleksandr Kuzmuk, Volodymyr Stretovych, Viktor Shvets, Stanislav Dovhyi and Valentyn Matveev) "proves the serious intentions of Ukraine regarding the strengthening of the cooperation between our states for the sake of our nations."
The visit, Volodymyr Lytvyn is convinced, is a logical continuation of the dialogue between the Presidents of Ukraine and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam that was commenced during the plenary sitting of the high levels of the UN General Assembly in September of the current year. He also reminded that in 2011, Viktor Yanukovych, the President of Ukraine, would visit Vietnam.
Visit of Ukrainian delegation shows that Ukraine "has best intentions towards Vietnam. Thus the cooperation between our states should be of systemic character and would be of special significance for both countries", the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada declared and expressed hope that the bilateral dialogue within the supreme level would also be of systemic character.
During the meeting the Parties emphasised that there are no arguments between our states, hence when we unite our interests and efforts, great culmination effect can be reached. Furthermore, V. Lytvyn added that "we have experience of fruitful cooperation in international organizations." "We expect support on the part of Vietnam in gaining of the status of non-permanent member of the UN Security Council in the period of 2016-2018", the Head of the Verkhovna Rada declared and expressed hope on the support of Vietnam in involvement of Vietnam in the dialogue in the framework of ASEM (forum for the dialogue between European and Asian countries). "In general we are convinced in mutual support within the regional cooperation level", V. Lytvyn declared.
Greta attention during the meeting was paid to the perspectives of the bilateral economic cooperation and emphasised the opportunities for the broadening of the trade-economic nomenclature.
According to V. Lytvyn, the future development of the cooperation in high technologies spheres and education and culture have a lot of perspectives. Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada expressed hope that the issue on organization of the direct flight connections between our states would be solved soon that would facilitate the business contacts.
In his turn Nguyễn Phú Trọng expressed gratitude to Ukraine for the assistance in the personnel training for the people´s economics of Vietnam.
V. Lytvyn and Nguyễn Phú Trọng discussed the issues regarding intensification of cooperation between the regions and cities of our states.
The Parties have also emphasised the essential role in the life of both states of big Vietnamese diaspora in Ukraine. According to the President of the National assembly its quantity comprises from 30 to 60 thousand citizens, a great number of them are successful businessmen and public figures.
In the course of the conversation with the journalists, V. Lytvyn characterized the negotiations with his Vietnamese colleague as fruitful for both states and invited the Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam to visit Ukraine.
Speaking on the interparliamentary dialogue V. Lytvyn stressed that "we received good signal that the Vietnamese Party is ready to form a friendship group with Ukraine."
As it was announced before, V. Lytvyn, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is staying on December 5-10 in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Republic of Korea.
