Mykola Tomenko focused the Attention on the Necessity to regulate the Situation regarding "Hotyslavske" Deposit
Today, in the curse of the official visit to Minsk, Mykola Tomenko, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, held the meeting with Anatoli Rubinov, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus. In the course of the meeting the Parties shared the information, in particular, A. Rubinov informed upon the elections campaign in the Republic and M. Tomenko in his turn informed that the group of the Ukrainian People´s Deputies would take part in observation for the course of the presidential elections.
Discussing the bilateral relations, the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada expressed hope that the both parties would define the mechanism of the finance issue regulation that restricts the completion of the ratification agreements exchange procedure for the agreements on state border coming into force.
The Parties discussed the active participation of Ukraine and the Republic of Belarus in the framework of the European Union initiative to arrange the borders between the states.
The Deputy Chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament expressed hope that implementation of the consultations protocol from 29 June 2010 regarding development of the deposit "Hotyslavske" (Hotyslav village in Brest region). As it is known, development of chalk deposit on the territory of Belarus that is situated near the Ukrainian border and Shatsk national nature park rise serious concern of the experts and environmental organizations. M. Tomenko stated that for him personally it is extremely significant issue since he is the Head of the Organisational Committee of Action "7 Natural Wonders of Ukraine" and Svitiaz lake and Shatsk national nature park is one of the action winners.
During the official visit to Minsk, the Ukrainian delegation headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Mykola Tomenko will take part in the sitting of Interparliamentary Commission on Cooperation with the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus. During the sitting, the Parties plan to discuss a number of issues, namely the state of the contract and legal base between Ukraine and the Republi8c of Belarus and its improvement; cooperation of the national deletions of Ukraine and the Republic of Belarus in international parliamentary structure; parliamentary supervision in trade and economic spheres of cooperation between Ukraine and the Republic of Belarus and on the legislative ways of renovation of trade scopes etc.
