Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Tuesday met Nguyễn Tấn Dũng, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam

 

In the beginning of the meeting the Prime Minister declared that Vietnamese Party highly appreciates the significance of the visit of the Ukrainian Parliamentary Delegation to Vietnam.

 

During the meeting V. Lytvyn and Nguyễn Tấn Dũng emphaissed the necessity to intensify the trade economic cooperation in the spheres of machinery construction, shipbuilding, metallurgy, aircraft construction, power engineering, petrochemical industry, mineral resources mining etc.

 

The Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam initiated the formation of common Ukrainian-Vietnamese business council to develop the propositions on the bilateral cooperation for the Governments of the both states.

 

He also stated that Vietnam is interested in the development of cooperation in the sphere of education, namely conditions and opportunities for Vietnamese citizens to be educated in the Ukrainian higher educational establishments. The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to V. Lytvyn for the legislative assistance on the part of the Verkhovna Rada in this issue.

 

 "We are sure that our friendship that is tested by divergent challenges shall be transformed into the cooperation with the practical results in the interest of both nations", V. Lytvyn declared.

 

The Head of the Ukrainian Parliament suggested discussion of the possible participation of the Vietnamese Party in the preparation of the conduction of the European Football Championship Euro-2012 on the part of development of infrastructure and hotel industry since Vietnam has great experience in these spheres.

 

On 5-10 December, Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, stays with an official visit in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
