Vitalii Khomutynnik,
Chairman of the Committee on Taxation and Customs Policy, presented the draft.
He stated that the Committee had received 4 839 motions, out of which 2 333 were taken into account, 2546 were rejected.
V. Khomutynnik informed that the Committee members had discussed the fundamental provisions of the Tax Code, namely the chapters on administration of taxes and duties (compulsory charges); the tax on income of enterprises; the individual income tax; the value added tax; special tax treatments; taxation of the tax payers under the production distribution agreements; final and transitional provisions.
V. Khomutynnik stressed that more than 100 working groups including People´s Deputies, members of the government, public representatives, businesspeople, scholars, and members of the professional associations worked upon adjustment of the draft. "The Committee welcomed any motions," the Committee Chairman declared.
By 14.00, the parliament members scrutinized 586 amendments to 20 clauses of Chapter 1 "General Provisions", taking several amendments into account.
