Mykola Tomenko: Media-Political Veto of the President is good, but a Real Non-Existing Veto should be considered
Mykola Tomenko, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, appreciates the intention of the President of Ukraine to veto the Tax Code, although he would like to see it realized.
Thus, commenting on the declaration of Viktor Yanukovych, the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada declared, "We appreciated the media-political veto of the President, although the actions of the President can be adequately assessed only when a real veto is imposed and referred to the Parliament."
According to the Deputy Chairman, from the political and media point of view, the President´s response is perfect. M. Tomenko believes that in such a way the Head of the State meets the requirements of the protesters. "However, we will find out about the precise remarks of the President in two days at least. The Parliament will consider the real veto with the norms to be excluded and a new version of the Tax Code on Thursday. Thus, it is only on Thursday that we will know whether it is an action of support of the small and medium-sized business on the part of the President, or his tactical step to distract the attention of the protesters", M. Tomenko, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine admitted.
