The 'Round Table' Discussion on Perspectives of System Formation for the Protection of the Small and Medium Business Interests was organized by the Committee on Industrial and Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship

Opening the meeting, N. Korolevska,
Chairperson of the Committee declared that "technical veto of the President of
Ukraine and the second adoption of the Tax Code is only a temporary truce
between the power and entrepreneurs." According to the People´s Deputy,
"situation we have now can be regarded as a ‘cold shower for the authorities
and make them prepare new reforms through the dialogue with the society.´"
During the meeting the participants discussed the necessity to form Council of Entrepreneurs under the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Namely, it was stressed that it "shall become an outpost of economic freedom and initiative group to draft the issues necessary for the economic development and increase of the citizen´s well-being."
According to Natalia Korolevska, the first task of the Council of Entrepreneurs, defined by the working group shall be drafting of the Law on status of the small and medium business in Ukraine.
The
second task the Council should solve is the drafting of new Law on
non-governmental organizations. Accruing to the speakers the effective Law is
out of date already and lacks efficiency.
N. Korolevska informed that the Committee plans to involve the entrepreneurs from all the regions of Ukraine into the preparing and discussion of legislative initiatives. She called business representatives for the active participation in the program "Revival" prepared by the People´s Deputies of Ukraine that was formed to control the implementation of the effective Laws.
