Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, on Thursday, in the Framework of the Official Visit to the Republic of Korea met the Board of Hyundai Rotem Company.

 

This company is the part of Hyundai Motor Group, producer of railways transpiration means, defense production and plants equipment.

 

On November 2, 2010, in the course of the working visit to the Republic of Korea of the Deputy Minister on Euro-2012 Matters Borys Kolesnikov, the Ukrainian Party signed with Hyundai Rotem the Protocol on supply to Ukraine of six high speed electric trains that would be used during the conduction of Euro-2012 to connect the cities accepting the football championship. Four more trains of the same company would be purchased till the end of 2012.

 

In the course of the meeting Lee Yeo-sung, Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of Hyundai Rotem announced that his company specialists are now in Ukraine where the details of the relevant contract are being discussed. "If everything is correct, I would visit your country next week for the signing of the contract", he stated.

 

In his turn, V. Lytvyn stated that toady there are great opportunities for the investments in its economics. According to him, there is stability in Ukraine now and within the legislative level there are all the conditions for the attraction of the investors.

 

The participants of the meeting stated that the conclusion of the mentioned contact would be the first step for the strengthening of the trade-economic relations and the further cooperation for the involvement of the investors into Ukraine.

 

"Our today´s dialogue shall intensify the trade-economic connections and investment cooperation between Ukraine and the Republic of Korea. It would be great basis for the bilateral relations between our states", the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine resumed.
