Adam Martyniuk: There is a Political Stability in Ukraine after the Passed Presidential Elections
"Ukraine shall develop the dialogue with all the states of the European Union, with Estonia as well. We highly appreciate the position of the Republic of Estonia in our relations. We have none pretensions and its is quite easy for us to develop the dialogue", Adam Martyniuk, First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine declared during the meeting with Urmas Paet, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia.
The First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expressed gratitude to the Republic of Estonia for they uphold the Ukrainian application for the OSCE presidency in 2013.
Though, A. Martyniuk informed the Estonian Party on the results of the work of the summit Ukraine-EU that was held in the end of November in Brussels. The most important result of the high meeting, according to A. Martyniuk, is the adoption of the Plan of Actions regarding the liberalization of the visa regime for the Ukrainian citizens with its further cancellation. A. Martyniuk explained that Ukraine expects the expert support of Estonia in the issue of the practical implementation of this Plan of Actions.
Giving comments regarding the internal political situation in Ukraine, A. Martyniuk informed the Estonian delegation that Ukraine returned to the presidential form of governing. According to him, it would consolidate the branches of power, in contrary to the times when Ukrainian political life was based on the political reform 2004 that used to destabilize the political situation in the state for two years.
"After
the last presidential elections the situation has been crucially changes. After
the cancellation of the political reform the Presidential authority increases
thus he forms the executive power", A. Martyniuk
explained and emphasised: "It is the first President
in the history of Ukraine that managed to cooperate in such efficient way with
the Parliament. There is stability in Ukraine at last."
Though, asked by the Head of the Estonia Foreign Political Department about the role of opposition under new reality, the First Deputy Chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament declared: "We would like opposition to be more effective." He is convinced that the political powers considering themselves as oppositional, "work to weaken the positions of the Ukrainian state within the international level instead of strengthening the inner policy in the state." He is convinced that the main reason is that "the oppositional powers continue presidential campaign that has been finished almost a year ago; they try play a return match, but have no political ideology." A bright example of lack of constructive ideology in the opposition is the situation with blocking of the work of the Parliament on days that are supposed to be devoted for the opposition, when it forms the agenda.

on the economic part of the life in Ukraine, A. Martyniuk
emphasised certain positive moments. Acceding to him,
"last year the considerable reduction of the economic indexes was observed, but
now "for 10 last months of the year GDP has increased almost in EUR 3,5%, for the same period of last year its has been reduced
in 16%, Output of the industrial goods increased in 10,7% and in last year the
index has been reduced to 26%", A. Martyniuk gave
