The Committee on Finance and Banking recommends the Parliament to reject the Bill on Amendments to the Law "On Settlement of Accounts in Foreign Currency" (re the Terms of passing the Currency Receipts to Account)

Опис : C:\Documents and Settings\Имя\Рабочий стол\1.jpgThe bill (Reg. No.7214) extends the term for the currency receipts to be passed to account in the course of the export-import operations from 180 to 360 calendar days.

 

According to the Committee members,  "These changes would freeze the currency receipts in the foreign accounts of exporters, and are unjustified, given the current economic conditions in Ukraine."

 

The People´s Deputies of Ukraine studied the conclusion of the Central Scientific-Expert Office of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariate.

 

Thus, the experts emphasised that clause 6 of the Law "On Settlement of Accounts in Foreign Currency" authorized the central executive authorities in charge of economic policy to extend the term for the currency receipts to be passed to account, if the residents operated under the agreements on the industrial cooperation, consignation, comprehensive construction, tender supply, guarantee service. The explanatory note does not substanmtiate this legislative norm.
