On Monday, Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The
Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, met Jacek Kluczkowski,
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic
of Poland to Ukraine.
The meeting was held on the occasion of completion of the diplomatic mission of Jacek Kluczkowski in Ukraine.
In the beginning of the meeting, V.Lytvyn expressed his gratitude to the Ambassador for the consolidation of the Ukrainian-Polish relations, stating that Ukraine and Poland had a common stance on the key issues.
In his turn, J.Kluczkowski highly appreciated the contribution of the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine into the development of the inter-parliamentary relations, especially, within the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of Ukraine-Poland and Ukraine-Lithuania-Poland. He declared that the parliament members gave incentive to the economic and regional cooperation.
The Ambassador stated that Polish politicians and leaders had always considered relations with Ukraine of priority.
V.Lytvyn thanked the Polish parliament members European MPs for their assistance of the European pursuit of Ukraine. He deems necessary to exert every effort to help Ukraine consolidate in the European community.
The Parties discussed organization of the official visit of B.Borusewicz, Speaker of Senate of the Republic of Poland, to Ukraine scheduled for 30 November-1 December 2010.
