Giving comments regarding the today´s voting in the Parliament, Mykola Tomenko, the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stated that: "the practical parliamentary activity is real evaluation mark of the fact how political powers not only declare but even act like opposition." "One can declare the high-principled position in mass media even, though the being in opposition is defined by the actions instead of the declarations", he added.

M. Tomenko reminded that the conflict regarding the influence of the Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Valerii Khoroshkovskii on re-distribution of television market in favor of the common for Khoroshkovskii group "Inter", the direct conflict of interests of SSU Head in favour of RosUkrEnergo instead of the state is rather time consuming and well-known. "Though, the voting proved that among 153 People´s Deputies that uphold the idea of dismissal of SSU Head, there were no majority of "Our Ukraine" party, headed by V. Yushchenko, representatives of "Single Center" A.Yatseniuk adherents in the faction (though, A, Yatseniuk vote in favor and the Head of the faction himself Mykola Martynenko, who is fighting for the status f the Faction leader upheld V. Khoroshkovskii , M. Tomenko briefed."

Hence, M. Tomenko is convinced that the Parliamentary oppositions for today "are divided into the real opposition and ‘television´ cunning one." "So, please, follow the voting in the Parliament and you will be aware of everything", M. Tomenko declared.
