Opening the hearings, M. Tomenko, the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine addressed all the participants with the request to point out the attention to the fact that the summer season of recreation has commenced already and announced that in September the Parliament shall hear the information on the results of the children and youth recreation during the summer period. M. Tomenko suggested that the participants of the hearings react as quickly as possible to the problems that can be solved through the implementation of the legislative initiatives.
M. Tomenko pointed out the attention to the necessity of the solving of the problems of the dingle state system of the recreation and declared that this issue needs defining and keeping of the common state policy.
In the committees´ hearings delivered their speeches Chairman of the Committee Family Matters, Youth Policy, Sport and Tourism P. Kostenko, Chairman of the Committee on Public Health T. Bakhteeva, Secretary of the Committee on Science and Education K. Samoilyk, Minister of Family Matters, Youth Policy, Sport and Tourism R. Saffiullin, Minister of Health Protection Z. Mytnyk, Deputy Minister of Science and Education E. Sulima and also People´s Deputies, representatives of the Ministries and other bodies of the executive power and public organizations.
Pursuant to the Constitution of Ukraine, medical treatment of children in medical establishments is free of charge. Considerable recreational effect is observed in 60-90% of children tat were taken to the children camps during 21-26 days.
In the course of the discussion its was also declared that during last years the most popular form of children recreation are summer camps for children with daily stay. In the majority of the school camps there have been organized profile shifts: sport, ecological and tourist directions.
In the end of the hearings, M. Tomenko suggested that the participants of the hearing generalize the propulsions and direct them to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for the influence on the better organisations of the children recreation campaign.
