Committee on Taxation and Customs Policy scrutinized the Issue on Elaboration of the Draft Tax Code of Ukraine for the Second Reading

S. Teriokhin, Chairman of the
Committee in eh course of the sitting declared that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine
passed the Resolution "On National Discussion of the Draft Tax Code of Ukraine"
adopted in the first reading on 17 June 2010.
Resolution envisages that until 14 July 2010, the Verkhovna Rada shall direct the Draft Tax Code to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, drafted by the Committee on Taxation and Customs Policy for the second reading with the propositions form subjects of legislative initiative taken into the consideration.
The Cabinet of Ministers is supposed to divulgate the received text of the Draft Tax Code of Ukraine and provide necessary conditions for the conduction of its national public discussion; generalize the results of the national discussion and till 5 September 2010 they should be directed to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
Taking into the consideration the fact that the elaboration of all the amendment is technically impossible in the term, the Committee resolved to suggest for the whole-Ukrainian referendum revision of the draft Tax Code of Ukraine, prepared by the working group that consists of People´s Deputies of Ukraine coalition and Cabinet of Ministers representatives as coordinated variants by them for the second reading.
The Committee resolved to recommend the Verkhovna Rada adoption of the decision on prolongation of the term of adoption of the propulsions from the subjects of the legislative initiative that according to the Law "On Standing Orders of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine" terminates on 1 July 2010.
