Mykola Tomenko: Organic Production shall be legalized and supported on the State Level

The People´s Deputies Yu. Lytvyn and Mykola Tomenko registered in the Parliament the elaborated bill "On Organic Production" (Reg. No7003). The bill envisages defining of the legal economic, social and organizational basis for the conduction of organic production, requirements to growing, production, certification, marking, transportation and realization of the organic products and materials.

 

Speaking on the necessity of the indicated bill adoption, one of its co-authors, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Mykola Tomenko declared that the present situation within the world commodity market is characterized by the increase of the run on qualitative and safety food stuffs and increase of the interest on the part of the consumers to the production that is under the title "organic food stuffs." "This direction of agricultural industry in Ukraine is of great demand and it is developing now, though the entire work is conducted without regard of legislative field", he emphasised.

 

In general its authors are convinced that the adoption of the bill facilitates the increase of the competitive agricultural products output, hasten the saturation of the domestic market by the food stuffs and form the conditions for the formation of the conscious healthy way of living.
