Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Tuesday, during the meeting with Nurberdy Amanmuradov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Ukraine emphasised that the development of cooperation with Turkmenistan is of great importance for Ukraine and the visit of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow to Kyiv shall give a great impulse to the development of bilateral relations regarding all the directions of mutual interest.
V. Lytvyn also emphasised Turkmenistan experience regarding the issue of neutrality. "It is one thing to formulate, though it should be accepted by the European and world communities as well as harmonize with the international legal norms and reality", V. Lytvyn declared. According to the Head of the Parliament, non-aligned status of Ukraine that is defined by the Law on Fundamentals of the Internal and Foreign Policy can be implemented only through neutrality.
V. Lytvyn added that "today there are not threats for Ukraine from abroad, though there are problems inside: threats to the national security and integrity of the state are caused by inner instability."
V. Lytvyn emphasised that "today Ukraine needs consolidation of the power without discord." Thus, for today the consolidation of the authority, definiteness and availability of the dialogue between he power branches are great achievement.
Mr. Ambassador stressed the importance of the development as business as political contacts between our states. He invited the Chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament on behalf of Akja Nuberdiyeva, Chairperson of Mejlis (Chairperson of the Parliament) to visit the Parliament of his state.
The Parties emphasised the necessity of the stable and efficient relations between the Parliaments, in particular on the level of the friendship groups.
