Today in the course of the briefing in the Parliament the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Mykola Tomenko declared that the declaration on the discussion and present forwarding of the Draft Tax Code to the Cabinet of Ministers proved lack of the unanimous strategy of the power and ability of the society to consolidate in case of violation of the citizen´s rights.
M. Tomenko briefed that after the opposition pointed out the attention to the non-constitutional and non-democratic character of the document, due to the common efforts they managed to reach the agreement regarding the recondition of the serious mistake of the Government. The Deputy Chairman emphasised that gradually, this mistake was acknowledged by the administration of the President and Deputies not only in opposition but also coalition representatives and businessmen, of course.
M. Tomenko deems it real success that today "the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine de-facto forwarded the Draft Tax Code for the further elaboration." "Furthermore the Resolution on public discussion of the Draft Tax Code of Ukraine passed in such a concealed form means actually its rejection", the politician is convinced.
Though, asked by the journalists regarding the possible governmental resignations and dismissals in the result of the preparation of non-democratic and imperfect Tax Code, M. Tomenko declared: "Taking into the consideration the fact that the Government unanimously voted in favor of this document, and it was directed to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine after the initiative of its initiator Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov, hence it would be logical if the whole Government together with its Head the Prime Minster M. Azarov resign their offices."
