The bill (Reg. No.5108) submitted by A. Hrytsenko, People´s Deputy of Ukraine, suggests "implementation of the social pension granted in connection with the loss of a breadwinner to the members of the military officers, persons entitled to this pension according to the Law who died in the result of injury, contusion or disability received during the protection of Motherland, liquidation of the consequences of the Chornobyl disaster or execution of other military duties or in the result of an illness caused by the participation in front actions etc. at the rate 70% from the wages of family breadwinner lost in the course of the mentioned above causes for one capable for working family members. If there are two or more family members, the pension shall total 90% of the wages."

The author explained the topicality of the bill by the fact that current pensions in case of the breadwinner loss are considerable differentiated according to the profession and other criteria.

The Committee members upheld the bill, as its adoption would enhance social security of the family members of the lost military officers, as well as restore equity.
