For the Period of Sixth Session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the Sixth Convocation the People´s Deputies of Ukraine adopted in general 135 Laws, V. Lytvyn.

 

In was announced by V. Lytvyn on Saturday, adjourning the sixth session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the Sixth Convocation that was held from 2 February till 10 July of the current year.

 

According to the Head of the Parliament, the agenda of the 6th session envisaged drafting and introduction for the scrutiny of 1473 issues. Moreover, 83 bills were included additionally. Actually for 51 day of the plenary work (72 morning and afternoon sittings were held) 771 issues were discussed with the adoption of the relevant decisions. 3 parliamentary hearings were held.

 

For the execution of the principal tasks with the participation of the newly formed coalition of the Deputies faction, new personnel of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine was appointed, the State Budget and the Program of the Economic and Social Development of Ukraine for 2010, Fundamentals of the Inner and Foreign Policy, Laws on state purchase, judicial system and status of judge, on elections of the People´s Deputies of the Autonomous Republic of the Crimea, Local Councils and Village, Township and City Mayors , new version of the Budget Code of Ukraine and great number of another documents were adopted by the Parliament.

 

Out of 23 bills, defined by the President of Ukraine as exigent, 11 were adopted in their entirety as a Laws of Ukraine and 4 were adopted as a basis.

 

In general for the session period the decision regarding 1038 bills were adopted, in particular 135 laws were adopted in their entirety, 86 bills in the first reading; 817 forwarded to elaboration and rejected.  "It proves that the Verkhovna Rada becomes more responsible for the adoption of bills, in particular ‘self-made´ ones", V. Lytvyn indicated.

 

In the result of the adopted decisions, 504 resolutions of organizational, constituent and procedural character were passed.

 

28 bills out of submitted by the President of Ukraine, 307 by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, 703 by the People´s Deputies of Ukraine were scrutinized. Thematically prevailed economic issues (272 bills), branches development (265) and legal character (253).

 

Among adopted laws for the end of the session 73 are signed and put into effect. In new version 8 bills were put into effect. 56 adopted bills are prepared for the signing by the President of Ukraine, moreover, 6 bills were forwarded by the President of Ukraine for their repeated scrutiny.

 

For the period of session ending, 1269 bills are on the scrutiny in the Committees and 133 are drafted for the second or next readings.

 

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine reminded that the work of the next session of the parliament would be commenced on Tuesday, 7 September. According to V. Lytvyn on Friday 16 July, there would be a grand meeting of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine dedicated to the 210th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration on the State Sovereignty of Ukraine.
