The bill (Reg. No.5218) extends the validity
period of lease agreements of residential (non-residential) building or other permanent
structure subject to obligatory notarial attestation and state registration
from three to five years.
The Committee members drew attention to the fact that similar motions had already been scrutinized at The Verkhovna Rada in 2006.
Thus, the Law "On Amendments to the Civil Code of Ukraine regarding Notarial Attestation and Registration of Property Lease Agreements", which extends the validity period of lease agreements of residential (non-residential) building without notarial attestation and state registration from one to three years, was adopted on 20.12.2006.
