Asked by the UNIAN journalists about the today´s voting in the Parliament for the dismissal of the Deputy Prime Minster on Humanities and Social Matters Volodymyr Semynozhenko, Mykola Tomenko, the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, declared that the oppositional Deputies upheld his dismissal as he was an adherent of the union state with the Russian Federation.
"Our voting can be explained that the Deputy Prime Minister V. Semynozhenko was the adherent of the ides of forming a union state with the Russian Federation with all the consequences: propaganda of the Soviet traditions, support of the Russian language, etc", M. Tomenko explained.
Though, M. Tomenko is convinced that the coalition deputies shall explain why they had voted for the dismissal of the Deputy Prime Minister. He declared that there were no explanations in the session hall either before the dismissal of V. Boiko or before the dismissal of V. Semynozhenko. "Hence the situation with the dismissal of two Ministers seems strange and unclear, to put it mildly", M. Tomenko emphasised.
