The Committee on Finance and Banking recommends that the Parliament adopts the Bill on Amendments to Clause 7 of the Law "On Insurance" (re Compulsory Travel Insurance)

The bill (Reg. No.1180) enhances compulsory travel insurance, supplementing paragraph 31 of clause 7 of the Law "On Insurance" with the part envisaged by clause 16 of the Law "On Tourism."

 

Under clause 16, medical and accident travel insurance is compulsory and shall be provided by the tourist activity entity on the grounds of agreements with the insurers. The insurance agreement shall cover medical assistance to the tourists and the losses inflicted by the event insured immediately in the country (place) of temporary stay.
