Latest Increase of Prices and Tariffs within the Sector of Public utilities shall concern maximum 20% of Citizens and 80% of Them will receive Relevant Subsidies. It was declared by V. Lytvyn in the courser of the interview with journalists. He pointed out the attention to the fact that "the decision is exclusively under the competence of the Government, not the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine" and added that he has not attempts "to avoid responsibility."

 

V. Lytvyn emphasised "that it is done not out of good life" and "if a citizen, pensioner from their income pays for the public utility services 15% and more, receiving subsidies from the state, now  they would spend not more than 10%." According to V. Lytvyn, if the rate of eh pubic utilities services comprises more than 10% then, the state would provide relevant dotation. "In such a way we have done everything possible not to harm citizens, though I understand that citizens today are shocked by the fact and the figure 50%", he explained.

 

According to the Head of the Parliament, representatives of the power have made a mistake, as it was necessary to "conduct calm conversation with people", show relevant results and calculations fro the citizens to understand what the result of such reform is. "There is only one excuse in this situation, the decision were supposed to be adopted rapidly, as upon them depends the cooperation with International Monetary Fund", V. Lytvyn declared. "If there is no cooperation with the IMF, we will not have rations with European Union and other finance institutions", V. Lytvyn stated.

 

V. Lytvyn emphasised that now it is necessary to make everything possible for the people to receive everything that was declared by the authority "not in queues, but automatically" moreover, "in such a situation the salaries should be increased.""
