Adam Martyniuk: The Tax Code will be adopted by the End of the Current Parliamentary Session
The Draft Tax Code was included on the agenda of the current session of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. 239 People´s Deputies supported this decision.
"The country can not live without the Budget and the Tax Codes any longer", Adam Martyniuk, First Deputy Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, stated at the morning plenary meeting.
A. Martyniuk reminded that "20 or 30 ad hoc panels have been set up for the last ten years" to work out this issue, and "every Government promised" to exert every effort to draft a new Tax Code.
The First Deputy Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine requested that on June 16, the profile committee starts working with the draft, thus offering a legitimate possibility of scrutinizing the Tax Code in the session hall.
As to the observance of the procedure and deadlines, A. Martyniuk stated that the Tax Code would be adopted during the current session, since the schedule of the session could be amended. "Finally, the schedule will be amended, the session will be prolonged, making all the prerequisites for adopting the Tax Code during this session", the First Deputy Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine declared.
