The bill (Reg. No6419) introduced by the People´s Deputies of Ukraine Yu. Odarchenko and V. Bondarenko suggest defining of the legal basis of organisations and activity of the National Committee on Public Utilities Market of Ukraine. Pursuant to the bill, National Committee is a collegial central body of the executive power with the special status, the activity of which is coordinated by the Cabinet of Ministers.
The principal tasks of the Committee define the activity of the state regulation of the activity of the subjects of the natural monopolies and legal entities within the related markets.
The bill also envisages that the Commission shall form and provide the predictability of the monetary and tariff policy within the markets that are in the state of the natural monopoly and related to it markets, facilitates the implementation of the stimulating methods of price regulation, market competence aimed at the provision of the effective functioning of the relevant spheres.
The Committee members upheld the bill, as its adoption, shall have the positive social-economic consequences for the market of public utilities.
