The opposition shall address the public with alternative options of State development to make the authorities adopt decisions required by the country and people, V.Lytvyn
Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, made this statement in the interview to Era radio channel.
Asked about the functioning opposition in The Verkhovna Rada, the Head of the Parliament stated: "I would rather the functioning opposition not argue and criticize, but analyze the drafts suggested by the President and the Government and offer the alternatives to prevent adoption of useless resolutions." V.Lytvyn stated that "a part of the deputy corps counting nearly 150 deputies object to the official line of the authorities." "To speak plainly, these people fight for power, because they were in office yesterday, while lost it today", the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stated. He believes that the country is undergoing the stage when "the opposition or people who position themselves as the opponents to the acting authorities have not shaped the platform of their activity." "I believe we should just pass through this post-election period", V.Lytvyn stated.
