Please accept my sincere congratulations on the occasion of the Youth Day!
This holiday combines on the present stage of our development creative targets of the Ukrainian state with the life-asserting desires of the most active, enthusiastic and romantic section of population.
In this combination one may find historic interdependence: today Ukraine more than ever needs creative strength of the young generation, its public conscious, profound knowledge and talents. The youth expects doubtless and considerable support on the part of the native state for the realization of all their plans.
One of the most essential tasks of our days is a responsible work for the harmonization, searching of the most optimal and effective dimension for these relations. All of us are aware of the fact that the success in this case will result in the great achievements, success and victories.
Taking into the consideration the peculiarities of this problem, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine among other prior aims of its activity, has always paid special attention to the youth sphere. The Parliament shall make everything possible to solve such vital problems as available education, employment, healthy way of living, social protection, formation of the necessary conditions for the cultural and physical development of young people. This work is supposed to result in the firm awareness of the young generation of Ukrainians in their happy future.
