V.M.Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine met with Armen Khachatryan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to Ukraine in Connection with the Completion of the Diplomatic Service in Ukraine.

 

In the course of the meeting V. Lytvyn emphasised the high level of bilateral political dialogue and lack of problems in relations between Ukraine and Armenia. The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expressed for the further development of the interparliamentary relations and emphasised the efficient cooperation of the delegations in international parliamentary organizations.

 

V. Lytvyn also named stressed the "vast opportunities" for the development of the relations between our states in the sphere of humanities and expressed positive role of Armenian diaspora in Ukraine.

 

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expressed gratitude for the Ambassador´s wok regarding the intensification of the bilateral relations.

 

In his turn, A. Khachatryan expressed gratitude to V. Lytvyn "for friendly attitude towards Armenia and its Embassy in Ukraine and to me personally" and declared that his country was looking forward to the visit of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Parliamentary delegation.
