The Committee on Judicial Policy recommends that the Parliament adopts the Bill "On Amendments to certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine" at the Second Reading and in its Entirety

The bill (reg. no. 4100) harmonizes several legislative acts (six codes and eight laws) with the law "On Notaries."

 

The bill amends the Civil Code of Ukraine to prevent committal of notarial acts on heritage by the private notary public, as presupposed by the Law "On Notaries" of 1 October 2008.  

 

The Committee members supported the proposal of the People´s Deputies to exclude new clause 350-1 from the bill on amendments to the Criminal Code, as it establishes criminal responsibility in case a person deliberately divulges notarial secret without its owner´s consent, if this secret is known to the person due to professional or official activity; and for interference into the activity of the notary public to prevent fulfilment of duties or impel to misconduct.
