Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, calls for setting up a Working Group to harmonize the Drafts of the Budget and Tax Codes of Ukraine
"Today, both the Government, and The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine are focusing their attention on the drafts of the Budget and the Tax Codes of Ukraine. These documents should complement each other. Actually, it should be one integral legislative framework", V.Lytvyn stated in the interview to Channel 5 on Tuesday. However, he stated that the common procedure had been applied: one working group adjusts the Tax Code, while the other one the Budget Code, "whereas a single working group should be set up, since nearly ten provisions are controversial hampering the full-fledged application of the laws."
V.Lytvyn believes that after the motions to these documents are submitted, a single working group should be set up to adjust these two drafts.
