The Committee on Freedom of Speech and Information recommends that the Parliament adopts the Bill on Amendments to several Legislative acts of Ukraine (re Public Morality Protection)

The bill (Reg. No.6532) supplements the Law "On Protection of Childhood" that prohibits manufacture (production), storage, advertising, purchase of produce containing child pornography; import, export, shipping of such produce across the territory of Ukraine; involvement of children into the manufacture and circulation of production of sexual and erotic nature, distribution of this production among the children.  

 

The People´s Deputies called for supplementing the Laws "On the Printed Mass Media in Ukraine" and "On Publishing" with a provision, under which distribution of printed or printing production of sexual or erotic nature by post shall be effected exclusively in a non-transparent dehumidified package, while the sale of erotic printed issues shall be performed in a dehumidified package only.

 

The Law "On Advertising" shall be supplemented with a following paragraph: "Outdoor advertising (open shop windows, billboards on the buildings and in the streets) containing the texts and (or) images of sexual and erotic nature are prohibited."
