In the course of the meeting were discussed a number of issues regarding the official visit of Slavica Dukic Dejanovic, the President of the National Assembly of Serbia that would be held on the invitation of Volodymyr Lytvyn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on 5 July 2010.
Dusan Lazic, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Serbia to Ukraine announced that Serbian Party introduced for the scrutiny of the Ukrainian Parliament proposition regarding the signing in the framework of the indicated visit, the Treaty on bilateral cooperation.
Oleh Bilorus the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs stated that the bilateral Ukrainian-Serbian relations are characterized by the considerable potential and perspectives of the further development and also upheld the idea of signing of the Treaty on interparliamentray cooperation between the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the National Assembly of Serbia.
In the course of the meeting the possibility of the formation of the interparliamentray structure aimed at the cooperation on the constant basis for the further improvement of the constructive connections between the bodies of the legislative power of both stated was discussed.
