The Committee on the Matters of Pensioners, Veterans and Persons with Disabilities recommends that the Parliament adopts the Bill on Amendments to the Law "On Victims of Nazi Persecution" (re Age of Minor Prisoners, and the Rate of Pension Rise) at the Second Reading and in its Entirety

The bill (Reg. No.2057) sets the standards for calculating the rate of minimum retirement pension, monthly life remuneration or State social aid for the victims of Nazi persecution on the basis of the living wage for the unemployed.

 

Pursuant to the bill, the benefits shall be granted to the former minor prisoners of the concentration camps, ghettos, other places of compulsory detention who were under 18 on the moment of imprisonment.

 

The Committee took into account the motion of People´s Deputy P.S.Tsybenko concerning enactment of the law. The motion was taken into account, as adoption of the law does not require extra expenditures from the State Budget of Ukraine, since the victims of Nazi persecution receive a pension increment equal to the rates set by the bill (Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of 28 May 2008, No. 530 "On Social Security of certain Categories of Population").
