Mykola Tomenko: President's Residence Issue remains Actual in the New Budget
Mykola Tomenko, the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stated that analysis of the Budget for the year 2010 that failed to undergo any specialized discussions, though was adopted on Thursday, proves that "the theme of the old and new residences of the President and will remain actual."
M. Tomenko emphasised that for the Budget article "conduction of the forest, hunting economics and support of the residences", from the State Budget in the year 2009 was allocated UAH 9 million 425thousand UAH 12million for the preserving of the Crimea natural reserve and national nature park. Thus, in the year 2010 this article in the State Budget was united and comprises now more then UAH 34 million 422 thousand. According to the Deputy Chairman, it is obvious that the indicated increase will be directed for the maintaining of the so-called state residences.
Moreover, M. Tomenko pointed out the attention to the fact that "the present authority probably uphold the dream of Viktor Yushchenko to make the state residence in Mariinskii palace, this historical building, as there is a special article in the State Budget for it", the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine declared.
Analyzing the principal financial document for the year 2010, Mykola Tomenko also emphasised that the expenses on the medical service of the high-ranking authorities would comprise UAH 65 million that is in three times more then during the last year. And expenses on the sanitary-resort service for dignitaries will comprise approximately UAH 96 billion.
