Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine: Ratification of the Agreement on the Prolongation of Stay of the Black Sea Fleet at the Territory of Ukraine shall be considered on Tuesday
Volodymyr Lytvyn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in the course of the briefing on Monday announced that in the course of the plenary meeting on Tuesday, ratification of the agreement on the prolongation of stay of the black sea fleet at the territory of Ukraine shall be considered. At the same time he expressed doubts regarding the adoption of this document.
According to him, the issue had not been scrutinized in the course of the last week as "the big deeds are not to be scrutinized in a hurry." "It would be ideal if the Russian Party scrutinizes this issue simultaneously with us. We need common approach for we do no wait for the ratification for several weeks by the Russian Party", the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada emphasised.
On the other hand, V. Lytvyn is convinced that under the present situation it is necessary to level the situation: "There is a defined purpose, it is necessary to evaluate what we have and what warning we may face." "If we have grounds, it is necessary to evaluate warnings, for this we need to calm down and hold a conversation. One is supposed to persuade with the help of the facts without shouts."
