Volodymyr Lytvyn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine recommends that the Oppositional Leaders refuse from the Intentions to Block the Work of the Parliament.
"I address the leaders of the opposition: if you accuse others of law infringements, then you are not supposed to give grounds for the accusation in your address. Thus blocking of the parliamentary work is an infringement on the Standing Orders of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine", the Head of the Parliament declared on Friday in the course of the interview for Rada television channel. Besides, according to him, blocking of the work of the Parliament gives no opportunities to scrutinize the issue on ratification of the Treaty signed by the Presidents of Russian and Ukraine in Kharkiv, hence, "we ill not face the truth in this situation."
V. Lytvyn also is convinced that "information regarding this issue should be heard with the invitation and participation of the Government representatives, relevant Ministers and experts." In such a case, according to him, everyone will have opportunity to express their position. "It is half a year already the country exists without the state budget, V. Lytvyn reminded. And we need to adopt also the local budgets. Let us pass the decision in a calm way and without the savage accusations on both sides."
