The Committee on Freedom of Speech and Information recommends that the parliament adopts as a Basis the Bill on Amendments to the Law "On National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting" (regarding the rejection of Age Restrictions regarding the Candidates on the Office of Council Member and Specification of Separate Positions)

The Bill (Reg. No4454) suggests rejection the norm according to which, it is forbidden to appoint to the office of the National Council member the person that reached pension age established by the effective legislation for the moment of their appointing to the position. Instead it is suggested to implement that reaching be the National Council member age rate of 65 years becomes the reason for the pre-termed cessation of the National Council member authority.

 

According to the Committee members, adoption of the Bill enables appointing to the indicated position of more experienced and professional specialist in the sphere of television and radio broadcasting.
