Mykola Tomenko: Liquidation of National Parks in Mykolaiv Region shall be stopped
Mykola Tomenko, the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine directed the appeals to the President of Ukraine with the request to scrutinize the issues on the preserving the National Parks "Biloberezhia Sviatoslava" and "Buzkii Hrad."
Let us remind that in the year 2009 with the aim of the preserving of the valuable complexes and objects of step zone and also unique historical and cultural complexes in the basin of Southern Buh, V. Yushchenko, by his order as a President of Ukraine formed the National Natural Parks "Biloberezhia Sviatoslava" and "Buzkii Hrad." Though in April 2010, despite the mass protests of Mykolaiv ecological and public organizations, the Standing Committee on Ecological Matters of Mykolaiv regions introduced the issue for the scrutiny of the session and passed the resolution appeal to the President of Ukraine V. Yanukovych with the request to scrutinize the issue regarding the cancel the mentioned above Orders of the President of Ukraine.
"As the chairman of the organizational committee of the national Ukrainian action "7 Wonders of Ukraine I am convinced that the decision to form the national reserves in thus unique natural sights was necessary and correct and the city authorities in its turn will always be able to coordinate its actions and common projects with the state without deprivation of the regional status of these parks."
Emphasizing the necessity of the preserving of these unique places, their unique nature-protecting recreational, cultural-educational and other values, the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in his appeal to the President of Ukraine asked to analyze the situation and stop the liquidation of the national parks.
