Mykola Tomenko, the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, during the program on "5th Channel" emphasised that the next plenary week would be the week of the serious challenges for the oppositional work.

M. Tomenko proved that the opposition would insist on the scrutiny of the issue regarding the dismissal of Dmytro Tabachnyk, the Minister on Science and Education and also would suggest hearing the report of Yurii Boiko, the Minister on Fuel and Energy regarding the Ukrainian and Russian gas negotiations in the course of the Conciliate Council.

Asked about the initiative of Arsenii Yatseniuk regarding hearing of the report of the Prime Minister on staff appointments and scrutiny of the Program of the Activity of the Government, M. Tomenko declared: "There is a problem with the knowledge of the basic document that defines the activity of each coalition and opposition. It is the Law "On Standing Orders of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine." The Law unfortunately envisages only one governmental report during the year on the specific matters: Program of the Activity of the Government and Implementation of the State Budget." Concerning the date and mechanism of the Program of the Activity of the Government M. Tomenko emphasised that it does not require any resolutions. "The Standing Orders of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine obligates the Cabinet of Ministers submit for the parliamentary scrutiny the Program of the Activity of the Government in one month term, that is until 11 April", he briefed.

"We would be glad to accept all those People´s Deputies that are ready to work in the opposition, as well it concerns Arsenii Yatseniuk. Though I would suggest reading of the relevant chapters of the Standing Orders of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine that strictly defines the rights of the parliamentary opposition", the Deputy Chairman emphasised. In the end Mykola Tomenko announced: "All the oppositionists are supposes to commence from the easiest one start attending their work."
