The Committee on Science and Education recommends that the Parliament adopts in the Second Reading and in Its Entirety the Bill on Protection of Personal Data

In the course of the Committee it was declared that the main aim of the bill (Reg. No2273 is the necessity to form the necessary legal and organizational conditions for the accumulation and use of information of the personal character, harmonization of the social relations in this sphere with the European legislation.)

The bill regulates relations related to the protection of personal data. Thus, it defines the procedure of accumulation of personal data, sets requirements for its processing, use, dissemination, etc.  

The Committee members stated that the Bill sets a legal basis for State regulation of social relations between a person, society and the State provided the citizens´ rights in the field of personal data are duly protected. The Bill also defines rights and guarantees, obligations and responsibilities of all entities of activity related to the personal data protection.

Kateryna Samoilyk, the Secretary of the Committee declared that the adoption of the Bill will secure balance of human, social and governmental rights in the said field of relations and is actual taking into the consideration the fact of new order of personal data procession during the Schengen visa registration and provision of the final part of Euro-2012 conduction.
