It is Impossible to Provide the Organization, Preparation and Conduction of the Pre-termed Plenary Meeting of the Parliament on 24 April according to the Demands of the Standing Orders of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, V. Lytvyn

 

It is declared in the letter of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Lytvyn to the Leader of BYuT Faction Ivan Kyrylenko.

 

V. Lytvyn informs that the documents with the initiative of 150 People´s Deputies on convocation of the pre-termed meeting of the Parliament on 24 April 2010 with the aim to scrutinize the issue on the Treaty on prolongation of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine he received today at 13.30. "The initiators of the convocation suggest inclusion into the agenda of the resolution drafts (Reg. NoNo6332, 6333) from 22 April 2010", the letter reads.

 

"Provide the organization, preparation and conduction on 24 April of the pre-termed plenary meeting of the parliament according to the demands of the standing orders of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is not possible, the Head of the Parliament emphasises. It was proved even by the results of the consultations with the Chairmen of the Deputies Factions in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, as the majority of the People´s Deputies would not be able to take part in the pre-termed meeting on 24 April 2010."

 

V. Lytvyn also emphasises that for the moment of 13.30 23 April 2010 the official documents that are the matter for the discussion in the session hall had not been directed to the Parliament.
