V.M.Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine met with Stefan Fule, Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy.
At the beginning of the meeting V. Lytvyn declared that the relations of Ukraine with European community "are one of not big quantity of factors that consolidate the Parliament." The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stated that at the present moment "there is a good opportunity to transform the energy of words into the energy of actions" and expressed hope that the visit of S. Fule would facilitate "the planned efficient work."
V. Lytvyn emphasised the importance of the implementation by Ukraine of "home assignment" in European integration matters.
Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy i his turn declared that his visit to Ukraine initiates "the systemic dialogue" and emphasised that now "it is possible to speak on the compliance of our European integration agenda of Ukraine and the program of reforms, the Ukrainian government is working upon."
Execution by Ukraine of all its "home assignment", according to S. Fule, makes Ukraine closer to EU and emphasised the role of the Verkhovna Rada in the process of European integration.
