Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, emphasizes that the issue concerning appeal of the General Prosecution on deprivation of Andrii Parubii and Yurii Hrymchak, members of Our Ukraine-People´s Self-Defense Faction, of immunity shall be considered in compliance with the Standing Orders and the Laws of Ukraine.

Asked by the journalists after the Conciliative Council, V.Lytvyn explained that the Standing Orders presupposed five days for the deputies concerned to respond. Then the Committee on Standing Orders shall scrutinize the appeal within twenty days. The Committee shall give recommendations to The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Head of the Parliament.  The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine shall scrutinize this issue within seven days. "This is not a one-day matter", the Head of the Parliament stated. He added that "the lesson shall be learned from this issue, as The Verkhovna Rada shall not work as if in a warfare or on the verge of a conflict."

"I feel that people understand that they went too far. A kind of guilt for the colleagues who can suffer is felt", V.Lytvyn stated and emphasised the importance of "the discussion concerning further organization of work of The Verkhovna Rada and the means to prevent aggressive incidents as happened on 27 April."

Demonstration of aggression will call forth the conflict with no winners, V.Lytvyn believes.

The Head of the Parliament admitted that the leaders of parliamentary factions would meet on Tuesday to negotiate this issue.
