Volodymyr Lytvyn: There are all Grounds to be content with the Ukrainian- Chinese Relations

 

V. M. Lytvyn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Friday met Mr. Zhou Li, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Ukraine, whose working mission in Ukraine comes to its end.

 

Mr. Zhou Li was well pleased with the cooperation arte between Ukraine and China and expressed gratitude to Volodymyr Lytvyn, parliamentary committees and O. Bilorus especially, for the assistance in the activity of Chinese Embassy in Ukraine.

 

V. Lytvyn, in his turn agreed with the positive evaluation of the parliamentary structures work and their role in strengthening of the cooperation between countries and nations declaring that Ukraine and China "faced broad field of mutual understanding and cooperation in all the spheres." He emphasised that there are all reasons for such evaluation "there are constructive political dialogue, there is understanding and appreciation of all those issues that may be referred to the sensitive spheres, there are objective positions regarding these matters."

 

The Head of the Parliament also emphasised the fact the trade-economic cooperation of both countries has the positive dynamics: "I suppose that the decline under the crisis conditions will be compensated." He also expressed content with the fact Ukraine and China cooperates "in the sprees of future science, technologies, military-technical sphere, space industry etc", increase of the contacts between people in the sphere of culture. "I am convinced that our relations are supposed to meet new quality. There is appreciation in Ukraine of the essential role of China in the world culture and industry." "There are all Grounds to be content with the Ukrainian- Chinese Relations", the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine declared.

 According to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, very effective work is supposed to be conducted on the field of strengthening of own defense capacity and security. He expressed hope that Chinese investors "will enter Ukrainian market exactly during this moment when Ukraine will experience the necessity of investments, in particular it concerns Euro-2012 preparation", the Chairman stated.

 

Mr. Ambassador declared that the Chinese part is interested in strengthening of the cooperation with Ukraine, "great European country with deep historical, cultural traditions, broad scientific-technical basis." "Strengthening and development of bilateral cooperation corresponds to the aims of our states and nations. Hope for the more intensive cooperation between our countries", he emphasised.

 

Mr. Zhou expressed hope on sooner visit of the Verkhovna Rada leaders to China and their participation in scientific-practical conferences.
