General Inspector of the Court of Auditors Yu. Samus emphasised that the mentioned above program is not being executed. According to him for the period of 4 years the underground railways network have not been developed and in Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv cities the length of railroads have not been increased, in Donetsk city underground railway have not been built at all.
Chairman of Ministry on Transport and Connections Department M. Makarenko announced that out of planned 38,8 km and 46 stations were built only in Kyiv city 1,1 km of railways and 2 stations. Moreover, according to him, the mechanism of "manual" State Budget funds control was implemented that caused subjective approach to the decisions regarding funds subdivision.
In the result of the discussion the Committee members recommend that the Cabinet of Ministers in the course of the elaboration of the State Budget Bill of Ukraine for the year 2010 envisage necessary funds for the implementation of the State program of Building and Development of Underground Railway Network for the Years 2006-2010 at the full arte.
