Volodymyr Lytvyn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine emphasises the Importance of the Implementation of the Comprehensible, Public and Open Policy for the Public Benefit

"We need comprehensive, public, open political power, for people can see and feel it, in order we have mutual support and harmony", V. Lytvyn declared on Friday during the interview for "Rada" television channel. "It is impossible to complete essential and complex work", he added.

The Head of the Parliament mentioned that these steps that have already been done in this direction that is the cooperation in the form of the meetings and councils of the President of Ukraine, the Prime Minister and the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for the discussion of the urgent problems in the country life, can be regarded as a positive signal not only for the people within the country but for the whole European and world community."

V. Lytvyn indicated that the social-economic situation is not to be improved during the short period of time. "There should be an appreciation of an obvious fact it is long and time-consuming process. It is inadmissible to live with the illusions."

According to V. Lytvyn "the country is supposed to work not for the impulse but for the system that let people plan their lives and let the country plan its development." "We have a lot of work to do, it will take years, to one hundred or two hundred days", the Head of the Parliament explained.

Giving answers to the questioned, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expressed the position that the opposition "should be effective and responsible."

"There should be dialogue, everything should be done on public and in order people can evaluate who knows the problem better and see the most efficient approaches to the problem solution. The right for the opposition should be confirmed by the hard work", he emphasised.

"We should be guided by the fact that there is one common responsibility for the state and not only fighting for the principle "the worse the better." "It is an immoral approach", he concluded.
